Easy to Use Floor Cleaner – The Shark, Review
This floor cleaner comes with a trolley which holds all the main parts such as the tank, heater, another bucked for drain-water, etc. And as a result the handle feels almost weightless. But the apparent problem however is that the robber tube isn’t that long. Unlike with the wire cord where you can remove it and attach another one (not the easiest thing in the world, still you’ll have to manually cut and re-attach) but when it comes to making the tube longer it’s an almost impossible task to perform. So if you need a cleaner with a longer cable this is not what you should be looking for.
You’ll have to assemble it first as it comes in pieces. But this should not take more than few minutes and to do it more easily please read the manual in which you’ll find almost everything you’ll need to know to put it together. The heater is not that powerful and as a result when other units can produce the steam before 3-4 minutes this device can take 10-11 minutes. So keep that in mind too. The tank size is also pretty decent. Once the heating process is over, push the button to start the steam. Since it has a built in heater you don’t have to worry about the water temperature drops. And you can easily choose the settings according to you needs. So the overall user friendliness of this device is pretty good.
As the case with all types of floor cleaners using it on tile-type floors was the easiest (including the cleaning). If you choose the highest heat settings the water will vaporize pretty quickly. The vacuum ability was also decent and it’s certainly capable of sucking out some dirt. This can be very useful if you’re going to use it on carpets for instance. But removing stains will need some effort. But the weight can actually become your rescuing partner in some cases such as this. As the more weight it puts on the ground the less effort from the user requires. So anyway while using this floor cleaner sometimes you’ll have to hold it on the stains for few seconds and go over it few times to remove them successfully.
Again because of the design you can even clean windows with this. The handle is very light weight and won’t put extra pressure on the glass either. You can carry it around easily too. Always make sure to wash the pads after several usages (if you can do it after each time it would be great) to avoid some of the “bad” scent issues. The price is also low in comparison with others. So if you can cope with the short rubber tube and the water boiling durations, etc this floor cleaner can certainly do an impressive job for you.
